Evangelical Right Pronounced Dead

by Right Wing Fighter

There is a silly story up on CNN’s website, which states that because a number of “evangelical leaders” opposed Trump, and evangelicals voted for Trump anyhow, that thus the religious right no longer exists. Obviously this is absurd.

But beside the above obvious absurdity, what is the religious right anyhow? Basically it is those people on the right that vote with a view towards Christianity. Clearly they make up a good deal of the right, and that’s a very good thing and I’m glad we have them.

I remember this happening a few election cycles ago. It might have been ’08 or ’04, when a few “religious leaders” backed somebody else for the Republican nomination, and when he failed, the media pronounced the evangelical right to be dead. It’s just the same old propaganda from the media that we ought to write off.
